Used test equipment is seldom available with manuals. Manuals are no doubt sometimes lost, but more often institutional or large industrial users sell the manuals and the test equipment in separate lots. There are enough volume buyers of manuals to drive the market. If you are bidding on test equipment in similar condition, some with and some without manuals, keep in mind how much it will cost to acquire manuals in making a decision.
If a new manual is available from the manufacturer, be prepared for sticker shock - the $100.00 neighborhood is typical. Used manuals ain't cheap either; prices can range from around $10.00 up to $50.00.
